Two Must-See Shows in February

KL opens for Dive BomberMike Pinto.

During a routine negotiation for a gig at The Jumping Turtle in San Marcos, owner Matt Hall offered King Legend’s own Joe Clarke a promoter’s and performance spot for the event of the decade. On February 8th, 2013 (this Friday!?!) The band will be playing The Jumping Turtle’s ten year anniversary party with international successes Ninja Love as well as Southern California prog-metal gods Dive Bomber, local upstarts Chica Diabla and the San Diego fantasy metal movement’s own Unicorn Death.

For the band, it’s not only an honor to celebrate the long and continuing life of a legendary North County venue, but it’s also an opportunity to share a stage with two bands that have inspired King Legend over the last year. We’ve gotten wind that local media will be there, and we can only continue rehearsing until the day arrives… And you, of course, are personally invited.

King Legend’s show following the Jumping Turtle Ten Year Anniversary Party is ALSO going to be a real triumph for San Diego music. In the tornado of the last six months worth of shows, KL landed a spot opening for the beloved Mike Pinto as well as San Diego favorites Sunny Rude. At 10 pm on February 22nd, the band takes the stage in the supporting slot for the night at the 710 Beach Club in Pacific Beach, CA.

Keep an eye out for Mike’s next two performances. He’s on the radio: Tim Pyles Local Show (Feb 17th) and the TV: CW 6 Morning show on Feb 22nd. SET YOUR DVR.
